Currently, we are equipped for and shoot the following games:

Trap

Trapshooting is one of the three major competitive clay pigeon shooting (shotgun shooting at clay targets). One target is launched from a single "house" or machine away from the shooter in trap shooting. Trapshooting is typically shot with a 12 gauge shotgun. Smaller gauge firearms (e.g., 20 gauge) can be used. A round of traps is shot from 5 stations consisting of 5 shots from each station.

Wobbles Trap

Wobbles trap is identical to trap, except the targets also oscillate up and down (elevation) and left and right.

Doubles Trap

Doubles trapshooting is shot with a double target presentation. This refers to the number of clay targets that are launched simultaneously. The shooter will load two shells, then call for the targets and attempt to break both, one at a time.

Skeet

In skeet shooting, targets are launched from two "houses" or machines in somewhat "sideways" paths that intersect in front of the shooter. The two houses are a low house and a high house.

5-Stand

Five Stand is a type of shotgun sport shooting similar to sporting clays, trap, and skeet. There are five stations or stands and six to eight strategically placed clay target throwers (called traps). Shooters shoot in turn at various combinations of clay birds. Each station will have a menu card that lets the shooter know the sequence of clay birds they will be shooting at (i.e., which trap the clay bird will be coming from).

Tuesday Night Archery

Tuesday Night Archery is typically run every Tuesday, from 6pm to 8pm (weather permitting) on the archery practice range. However, at the moment, it has been suspended until after the winter.

Archery FUN for all ages (bring your children) and all levels (beginners welcome)!

Don't have a bow? That's okay - the Club does. Want to give archery a try? This is the time and place. Everyone is willing to help get you started with some basic training (don't wait for the beginner class offered later in the year).

Share archery and hunting knowledge, experiences, and tips. Come to practice. Come for some good-natured FUN competition (traditional vs. compound/boys vs. girls/kids vs. adults). Lots of laughs, and even turkeys to win at Thanksgiving.

Oh, and there is food too! Skip dinner at home - we have the best grill masters on duty.
